    Two of the dogs qualified for the Triple Crown Versatility Challenge with a special award. The dog has to qualify in 3 events at the national show.

9/7  As of mid-August, Joy is now a USA Grand Champion. Wahooo --I had gotten 5 points and Diane Baker has done an excellent job finishing the balance required of 25 total, showing him in Illinois and Wisconsin.  They got a Group 3 along the way, pulled in the Group multiple times, plus his WD/BW at the ACC Trenton supported show in May with me. 8/5 MI  Robert Boyd sent a note.  "Porter" finished his Am CH, he already had his Can CH. His sire is SUCH, Am/Can Ch Redlion's Hit Doctor **c Am/Can MH, WDQ. He was shown to some of his wins by co-owner Veronica Mercer. He is now Am/Can Ch* Mercer’s Takin’ On the Outfit  and he is just 1 year old.

5-22 CA  **CH* Redlion's Western Wishes RN, AKA "Twig" (Ch Chesarab Force of the Jedi x Redlion's Revenge is so Sweet) ***Twig picked up his 3rd Leg today for his CD title with 2nd place from Novice B. He qualified for all 3 legs in 3 consecutive trials and was in the ribbons each time. Twig was bred by Jane Pappler and Jean Gilmore and is owner handled by Sylvia Holderman of California. "Thor" is now qualified all-age in both the US and Canada. He is the only dog of 8 that did the water triple today without handling - awesome!!

5-14 TX Cody is now CH Redlion's Kodiak DeCristo, SH, WDX, CDX....we got our 3rd and final leg for his Open A and the CDX title here in Groves, TX at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Beaumont under Judge Frank Saling. We will show again tomorrow (an insurance leg) and will have more fun now that the pressure is off......go little boy, Now that we have his CDX we will be working towards his Utility Title....the challenge with this is since Cody has been "forced to pile" for his Hunt work, we have to convince him that "shopping the Pile" in Scent Work for Obedience is acceptable.  O/H - Penny Watkins
